How to use this set

The RRB Station Master CEN 08/2026 is not yet notified on the official RRB site, so this set uses the general RRB subject mix: mathematics, data analysis, reasoning, basic science and English. It is not a copy of a Station Master paper. The detailed CEN may still change the pattern.

Set a timer for 30 minutes. Mark each answer before you check the key, and note any question you guessed. Negative marking for this CEN is not confirmed, so treat every guess with care until the official notice is out.

Answer key and explanations

Q1. B (122). 15 percent of 480 is 72. 20 percent of 250 is 50. Total 122.

Q2. B (120). B:C = 10:15, so with C = 300, B = 200. A:B = 6:10, so with B = 200, A = 120.

Q3. C (120 km). 2 hours 40 minutes = 8/3 hours. Distance = 45 × 8/3 = 120 km.

Q4. C (63). Each term is double the previous term plus one: 3→7, 7→15, 15→31, 31→63.

Q5. C (36). These are consecutive squares: 2², 3², 4², 5², 6².

Q6. A (USBJO). Each letter moves forward by one in RAIL→SBJM. Apply the same to TRAIN: T→U, R→S, A→B, I→J, N→O.

Q7. C (10 metres). The first leg takes him 5 metres east (after turning right from north). The left turn makes him face north for 3 metres. The right turn makes him face east again for 5 metres. Total eastward distance: 5 + 5 = 10 metres.

Q8. B (Nephew). Q and R are siblings. P is Q's son, so P is R's nephew.

Q9. C (40 percent). Total = 40 + 60 + 80 + 20 = 200. C's share = 80/200 = 40 percent.

Q10. C (105). Total parts = 4 + 7 = 11. Each part = 165/11 = 15. Larger number = 7 × 15 = 105.

Q11. B (6 days). Combined work per day = 1/10 + 1/15 = 5/30 = 1/6. So 6 days.

Q12. B (Rs 300). SI = 2,000 × 5 × 3 / 100 = 300.

Q13. C (30). Total of four numbers = 4 × 25 = 100. Five numbers total = 5 × 26 = 130. Fifth number = 130 − 100 = 30.

Q14. C (Newton). The SI unit of force is the newton.

Q15. B (H2O).

Q16. B (Heart).

Q17. B (Hardworking).

Q18. B. "Neither" takes a singular verb, so "was present" is correct.

Q19. B (All A are C). If every A is B and every B is C, then every A is C.

Q20. B (Rs 1,000). The shirt sells at 80 percent of the original price. Original = 800 / 0.8 = 1,000.
