The descriptive test
It carries 30 marks and has its own floor: 40% for UR, 35% for others. Miss it and your objective score does not matter. After the quiz, set a 30-minute timer and write:
- An essay of about 250 words on "Why scientific storage matters for India's food security".
- A formal letter to a warehouse manager reporting damaged stock in your consignment.
Check spelling, paragraphing and whether every sentence is plain and complete.
Reading your score
There is a cut-off in every section and in the total. CWC sets them after the exam, so no fixed number is printed. Use the section scores:
- General Awareness below 25 of 50: this section gives 30 seconds a question. You either know it or you skip. Read warehousing, agriculture schemes and banking basics daily.
- Quant below 25: DI sets are worth 15 marks. Practise reading a table in under a minute.
- Reasoning below 25: the seating puzzle and inequalities should be quick. Do one puzzle a day.
- English below 30: error spotting and fill-in-the-blanks are 21 marks here. Grammar rules repay fast.
If negative marking cost you more than 10 marks in total, cut your guesses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for the objective part. The 2026 advertisement prints four sections of 50 for JE (General) with separate timers of 45, 45, 25 and 35 minutes, and one-fourth off for a wrong answer. This mock copies that. The 30-mark descriptive test is written, so it is not in the quiz.
This mock is built for JE (General). Its reasoning, quant, English and general awareness questions suit every CWC post. AM professional posts and JE (Technical) also have a subject paper, listed on our syllabus page.

Each notice is read from the issuing body's PDF or portal before it goes live; dates, fees, vacancy tables and eligibility rules are copied from that document, not from other websites.
