SBI Security Manager Recruitment 2026: 60 Posts, Apply by 25 Nov

As of 4 November 2026, State Bank of India has opened online applications for 60 provisional posts of Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security) under Advt No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28. Registration and fee payment run from 4 November to 25 November 2026. Only ex-service officers aged 25 to 40 (as on 31 October 2026) can apply, and the fee is Rs 750 for UR, EWS and OBC.

What is the SBI Security Officer recruitment 2026?

State Bank of India has invited online applications for Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security) posts as Specialist Cadre Officers, on a regular basis. The advertisement number is CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28. There are 60 provisional posts, and the selected officers can be posted anywhere in India.

Online registration and fee payment run from 4 November to 25 November 2026. The posts are meant for ex-service officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force and para-military forces.

How many posts are there?

The numbers are provisional and can change with the bank's needs. The two posts are Manager (Security) in MMGS III and Deputy Manager (Security) in MMGS II. The advertisement gives one combined total for both.

Who is eligible?

All criteria are counted as on 31 October 2026.

• Education: a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
• Manager (Security): an officer not below the rank of Major in the Indian Army, or the equivalent in the Navy or Air Force, with at least 10 years of commissioned service. The other route is an officer not below Deputy Commandant in the para-military forces, with at least 10 years of service as an officer.
• Deputy Manager (Security): an officer not below the rank of Captain in the Army, or the equivalent in the Navy or Air Force, with at least 5 years of commissioned service. The other route is an officer not below Assistant Commandant in the para-military forces, with at least 5 years of service as an officer.
• Medical fitness: SHAPE-1 or an equivalent category. You must upload the medical category document from your discharge book or service record. Serving officers must upload the latest Medical Board document.

Experience must be full-time, and the experience certificate must name the relevant field.

What is the age limit?

The age must be between 25 and 40 years as on 31 October 2026. The upper limit is for the unreserved category. Reserved categories get relaxation as per Government of India rules. You need to show the relevant certificate at the interview if you are shortlisted. Cumulative relaxation is not allowed.

What is the salary?

Officers also get DA, HRA, CCA, provident fund, the contributory pension scheme (NPS), leave fare concession and medical facility, as per rules. The probation period is 6 months.

Job profile

• Conduct security audits of branches and offices and suggest upgrades.
• Run security drills and awareness lectures for staff.
• Visit branches and handle the work of the security officer's desk.
• Liaise with government agencies, including civil, military and police authorities.

The bank says the profile is illustrative and other duties can be assigned.

What is the application fee?

• UR, EWS and OBC: Rs 750. It covers the application fee and intimation charges.
• SC and ST: no fee.

Pay online by internet banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. The fee is not refundable. If you submit more than one application, only the last valid one is kept, and the other fees are forfeited.

What is the selection process?

The selection has two stages: an online test and an interview.

• Reasoning, English and General Awareness are qualifying. Their marks do not count for the merit list. The bank decides the minimum qualifying marks.
• Only the Professional Knowledge marks count. The syllabus is in Annexure I of the advertisement and covers security management, fire safety, disaster management and security in banks.
• There is no negative marking.
• The interview carries 100 marks.
• The final merit list is drawn from the Professional Knowledge score (100 marks, scaled to 70) and the interview (100 marks, scaled to 30). Ties are broken by age, with the older candidate ranked first.
• The bank can change the mode of selection to shortlisting and interview.

2. From 4 November 2026, click Apply Online and register with a valid email ID.
3. Scan your latest photograph and signature.
4. Fill in the form. You can save it and finish later with your registration number and password.
5. Upload your resume, ID proof, age proof, qualification and experience proof, category certificate and medical category document.
6. Submit, then pay the fee online by 25 November 2026.
7. Print the form and e-receipt. Do not send hard copies to the bank.

Common mistakes

• Rank or service falls short. Check the rank and the years of commissioned service against the post before you apply.
• Wrong category. The category cannot be changed after you register. OBC creamy layer and EWS candidates without the right certificate must apply as UR.
• Fee not paid. Registration is complete only after the fee is paid by 25 November.
• Missing documents. The bank will not shortlist an application with missing uploads.

FAQ

Is this open to civilians? No. Both posts need a commissioned officer's service record in the armed forces or para-military forces.

Is there a written test? Yes. It is an online test of 200 marks, followed by an interview.

Do the English and reasoning marks count? No. They are qualifying papers only. The merit list uses Professional Knowledge and interview marks.
