Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is recruiting 104 provisional Executive Officers Grade-III in the A.P. Endowments Subordinate Service. The brief is Notification 23/2026, dated 15 September 2026. The detailed notification went on psc.ap.gov.in on 16 October 2026. That detailed date is the crucial date for the degree and for every other eligibility the brief left to the long PDF.
Apply 16 October to 11:59 pm on 5 November 2026. If you have already opened OTPR, you still have to submit 23/2026. If you have not read Paper II, do that before you pay. This is not a second copy of Group-I or of ASO.
Pay in the brief table is Rs 25,220 to Rs 80,910.
What the job is
An Executive Officer Grade-III runs the day-to-day administration of an endowments institution: a temple or a charitable institution under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 30 of 1987. Paper II tells you what the commission thinks you must already know.
Section 29 of that Act is on the duties of Executive Officers. Section 57 is on how endowment funds may be used. Sections 75 to 86 sit with the Record of Rights and Pattadar Pass Book law on endowments land. Those three citations are in the official annexure, not in a coaching handout. If you cannot explain them in your own words, you are not ready for Paper II.
The work is not a secretariat desk in Vijayawada. Posting follows the zonal or local rows in the 16 October PDF. Rank only the zones you would actually serve.
Vacancies and the two PDFs
The brief prints 104 posts and says the number is provisional until the department confirms. Community, local status and zone sit in the detailed notification of 16 October. Use that PDF for the table you quote to anyone else. The brief is enough for the last date, the degree line, the "no screening test" rule and the scheme annexure.
APPSC published a web note on 16 October covering detailed notifications 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24. This page is only 23/2026. Do not mix it with Forest Beat (18) or Industrial Promotion Officer (24).
Degree
You need a bachelor's degree from a university established or incorporated by a Central, State or Provincial Act, or a UGC-recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification, held on 16 October 2026. A result after that day does not count. The brief does not ask for a theology degree. A BCom or BA is enough for the essential row. Paper II still expects you to know the epics, the Agamas and the Act.
Age, fee and reservation rows were promised for the detailed PDF. This page does not invent an 18-to-42 band the brief never printed. Open the 16 October file on psc.ap.gov.in before you pay.
Selection
Para 6 is the line other sites underplay: one CBRT, no screening test, no matter how many applications arrive. If the paper runs in more than one session, marks are normalised by a method the commission will notify later.
| Paper | Subject | Questions | Minutes | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | General Studies and Mental Ability | 150 | 150 | 150 |
| II | Hindu Philosophy and Temple System | 150 | 150 | 150 |
| Total | 300 | 300 | 300 |
Standard: degree. Negative marking: one-third, G.O.Ms. No.235, Finance (HR-I, Plg and Policy), 6 December 2016.
Computer Proficiency Test: 60 minutes, 100 marks, practical, G.O.Ms.No.26, G.A. (Ser.B), 24 February 2023. Qualifying marks: 40 OC, 35 BC, 30 SC/ST/PBD. Part A is MCQ (20 percent). Part B is a live document, typing speed (25 percent, may be mandatory), objects (15), Excel (20) and PowerPoint (20). CPT is not a third merit paper in the annexure. Fail it and 300 marks in the CBRT do not finish the selection.
Hall tickets and the exam date appear only on psc.ap.gov.in.
Paper II in plain words
Paper I is the usual APPSC GS set: current events with Andhra Pradesh, science and IT, Indian history with AP, AP geography, polity and e-governance, economy and planning, sustainable development, disaster management with remote sensing and GIS, reasoning, and mean, median, mode and variance.
Paper II is why this job is not "any graduate post":
- Ramayana: characters, kandas, dynasties, places.
- Mahabharata: characters, parvas, dynasties, places.
- Bhagavatam: characters, skandhas, places.
- Puranas and their places.
- Temple Agamas: Vaishnava (Vaikhanasa, Pancharatra, Chattada Srivaishnava); Saiva (Smart, Adi Saiva, Veera Saiva, Jangama, Kapalika); Sakteya.
- Hindu festivals across India, and classical fine arts of Indian origin.
- Vedic culture: yajnas, Vedas, Upavedas, Upanishads, ashrama dharma.
- Philosophies and gurus: Alwars, Nayanars, Sankara (Advaita), Ramanuja (Visistadvaita), Madhva (the annexure prints "Dvaithadvaitham"), Basava (Veera Saiva).
- Family, adoption and succession.
- Temple income and Section 57 (use of funds).
- Section 29 (duties of Executive Officers).
- Land records, ROR / Pattadar Pass Book, Sections 75 to 86.
The Madhva row is printed as "Dvaithadvaitham". In standard usage Madhva is Dvaita and Nimbarka is Dvaitadvaita. In an APPSC paper, prefer the printed word.
If you have already applied
Download the 16 October detailed PDF today. Check age, zone and fee against your OTPR. If OTPR has the wrong local status, fix OTPR before you submit 23/2026. A later OTPR edit does not rewrite a submitted form.
If you applied because "104 posts, any degree", open Section 29 and Section 57 this week. A candidate who can do Paper I and cannot name the EO's statutory duties is the candidate the annexure was written to stop.
Corrections, if the detailed notice follows the usual APPSC 7-day window, cost money and will not change name, fee or age relaxation. Confirm that window in the 16 October PDF.
How 23/2026 is not Group-I or ASO
Group-I Notification 07/2026 is a different exam: OMR screening on 24 January 2027, 50 times to mains, DSP physical, 825-mark merit. ASO Notification 20/2026 is statistics. This post is an endowments field officer. The brief dated 15 September 2026 and the detailed PDF dated 16 October 2026 are the only texts that govern 23/2026.
A reused Group-I OTPR is fine. A reused Group-I study plan is not. Paper II here is Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, Puranas, Agamas, festivals, Vedic culture, named acharyas, adoption and succession, and three statute blocks. A candidate who can do AP current affairs and cannot name Section 29 is the candidate the annexure was written to stop.
The brief table is 104 posts, pay Rs 25,220 to 80,910, provisional until the department confirms. Zone and community sit only in the 16 October file. Quote that file, not a Telegram graphic.
Apply only on psc.ap.gov.in. A form sent by post is not entertained. Submit before 11:59 pm on 5 November 2026. Last-minute OTP failure is not a commission problem.
What Section 29 is asking you to already know
The annexure does not reprint the Act. It names the sections you must already be able to use.
Section 29 is the Executive Officer's duties. That is the job. If you cannot say, in two sentences, what an EO must do inside an endowments institution, you are not ready for 150 questions on "Hindu Philosophy and Temple System".
Section 57 is how endowment funds may be used. Paper II also asks the sources of temple income and how those funds are allocated. A culture-only plan that never opens the money sections will leak marks here.
Sections 75 to 86 sit with the Record of Rights and Pattadar Pass Book law on endowments land. Land is where many temple disputes start. The annexure puts land in the same paper as the epics on purpose.
Read those sections in an official or standard annotated copy of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 30 of 1987. Do not learn them from a 20-fact temple list.
The work is a posting at an endowments institution, not a secretariat desk you can treat as optional. Rank only the zones you would actually serve. A form that claims a local status you cannot prove is cancelled at verification, the same as a form that claims a degree you cannot produce.
The commission's 16 October web note bundled detailed notifications 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24. Open 23/2026 only. If you also want Forest Beat, that is a separate payment and a separate Intermediate-plus-walk scheme. If you also want Group-I, that is a separate payment and a 24 January OMR. Do not assume one OTPR click covers every number on that list.
Apply only on psc.ap.gov.in. A postal form is not entertained. Submit before 11:59 pm on 5 November 2026. Last-minute OTP failure is not a commission problem. Watch the commission site for the exam date. The brief PDF in the header is a verified copy of the annexure.
Paper lists and CPT marking are on the syllabus page. Twelve questions on the no-screening rule and Section 29 are on the practice page.

Frequently Asked Questions
104 provisional posts in the brief dated 15 September 2026. The 16 October detailed notification has the community and zone break-up. Numbers can change when the department confirms.
No. Para 6 of the brief says a single-level examination only, in CBRT mode, even if applications are many. Multi-session papers, if any, are normalised by a method the commission will notify later.
Hindu Philosophy and Temple System: Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, Puranas, Agamas, festivals, Vedic culture, Alwars, Nayanars and the named acharyas, family and succession, and Sections 29, 57 and 75 to 86 of the Endowments Act 30/87 plus land records. That paper is why a GS-only plan fails this exam.
CPT is 100 marks in 60 minutes, qualifying: 40 for OC, 35 for BC, 30 for SC, ST and PBD. The brief annexure prints it as a proficiency test, not as a third merit paper.
Rs 25,220 to Rs 80,910 as printed in the brief table.
