UCO Bank Apprentice Syllabus 2026-27: 100 Questions, 60 Minutes

Seats, the two portals and the 29 October fee close are on the recruitment page. This page is the 7 November paper, the 40/35 line, the language test and what the PDF refuses to specify.

The paper

Duration 60 minutes. Medium English and Hindi as printed. You sit it on 7 November 2026 at 11:00 am on your own camera-enabled desktop, laptop, tablet or phone, at home, isolated. The login arrives the day before from BFSI SSC. Show the Aadhaar you uploaded on NATS. Except PwBD, nobody else may sit near you.

That is 36 seconds a question if you attempt all 100. The advertisement does not print sectional timers. It also does not print a topic list under the four headings. Prepare those four headings the way a bank apprentice paper is usually set, and do not claim a "UCO official syllabus PDF" that this advertisement does not attach.

Qualifying marks: 40 out of 100 for General and EWS; 35 for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD. Merit is State-wise and category-wise on the written score. A tie at the cut-off goes to the older candidate.

Fail to register for the written test after paying, and you are disqualified even if NATS is complete.

What the advertisement does not print

Negative marking. There is no 0.25 or one-third line. Do not deduct marks in your practice unless a later handout from BFSI SSC says so. Until then, a blank and a wrong answer are not distinguished in the PDF.

Sectional cut-off. Only the 40 / 35 overall line is printed.

Topic list. "General/Financial Awareness" is the whole official description of that section. RBI, banking current affairs, and the Bank's own public products are reasonable prep. A 200-topic "UCO GA syllabus" from a blog is not official.

Centre. There is no city choice. The centre is your room. A power cut is your problem. The Bank will not resit you because your phone died.

Handout. "Other detailed information regarding the examination process will be given in the Information Handout" emailed by BFSI SSC. Until that mail arrives, this advertisement is the scheme.

Similarity analysis of answers can cancel you. Do not sit the paper with a friend on speaker.

Merit, language and medical

Written marks make a State-and-category list. The Bank may publish a wait list. Engagement then needs medical fitness as the Bank requires, and a local language test at document verification: reading, writing, speaking and understanding one language of the State you chose. A class 10 or 12 mark sheet that shows that language exempts you. Fail the language test and you are not engaged.

Hours match clerical staff. Stipend Rs 16,650. No PF, ESI, bonus, hostel or job at the end. Refund risk if you quit mid-year without a reason beyond your control.

Ex-servicemen are not engaged. A previous apprenticeship, a terminated one, or one year or more of post-degree job or training bars you. Graduation must be on or after 1 April 2022.

How to prepare

You have from now until 7 November. That is not a six-month PO course.

Week plan. One timed 100-question set every two days, 60 minutes, four blocks of 25. Use the 40-mark line as your floor if you are UR or EWS, 35 if you are SC, ST, OBC or PwBD.

Financial awareness. Last six months of banking and economy, payment systems, priority sector in outline, and the difference between an apprentice and a clerk. The paper can ask what this engagement is. The answer is a trainee under the 1961 Act, not an employee.

English. 25 questions in about 15 minutes if you split the hour evenly. Error spotting and short comprehension at clerical level. The advertisement does not ask for a descriptive letter.

Reasoning and computer aptitude share 25 questions. Do not give computer 25 of its own. Averages, coding, and basic OS / MS Office / internet safety are enough unless the handout says more.

Quant. 25 questions, SSC-tier-1 speed. Do not start a CAT quant book on 20 October.

Language. If your class 10 or 12 does not show the State language, start speaking and writing it now. The test is at DV, after the merit list, when it is too late to pick another State.

Home setup. Camera, Aadhaar, isolation, charged device, on 6 November check the BFSI mail. The advertisement says the link comes the day before. A missing mail that day is a write to info@bfsissc.com, not a guess at a new URL.

Home-exam failure modes

The advertisement already named the ways you drop after paying.

You sit the paper from home on 7 November 2026 at 11:00 am. The login arrives the day before from BFSI SSC. If you do not register for the written test, you are out even if NATS and the fee are done. A missing mail on 6 November is a write to info@bfsissc.com with the NATS enrolment ID, not a guess at a new URL.

Use your own camera-enabled desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. Stay isolated from family. Except PwBD, nobody else may sit near you. Show the Aadhaar you uploaded on NATS. A different ID, or a phone without a working camera, is not a plan B the PDF offers. A power cut is your problem. The Bank will not resit you.

Call letters go by email only. Keep the same mobile and email until the year ends. Disputes sit in courts at Kolkata. The Bank is not responsible for printing errors. Corrigenda appear only on uco.bank.in.

Register at nats.education.gov.in, apply to the UCO Bank advertisement, keep the enrolment ID, then pay on beep.bfsissc.com after the mail from info@bfsissc.com. Fee window 14 to 29 October 2026. SC, ST and PwBD: Rs 200 plus GST. General, EWS and OBC male: Rs 800 plus GST. Female or transgender in those three: Rs 600 plus GST. Not refunded.

Stipend is Rs 16,650 a month: Bank Rs 10,500, government DBT Rs 6,150, which can change. Hours match clerical staff. No hostel. No union. The contract ends on the last day of the year. If you do not report on day one, it ends without notice. If you quit mid-year without a reason beyond your control, you can be asked to refund training cost and stipend.

PwBD horizontal seats inside the 530 are printed as OC 25, HI 9, VI 1, ID 0. The State table is provisional. West Bengal 86 and Uttar Pradesh 45 are the large rows. A one-seat State is still a full apply path.
