UCO Bank Apprentice 2026-27 Practice: Two Portals, 40/35, Home Test

How this set is built

The live paper is 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes, four sections of 25: General and Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude. The advertisement does not print a negative-marking fraction. This set therefore uses zero negative fraction. A wrong answer here costs nothing. On 7 November, do not invent 0.25 unless the BFSI SSC handout later prints one.

The questions are notice rules, not a fake GA booklet. They test dates, the two portals, the one-State rule, the 40/35 line, the home-camera sitting, the April 2022 degree cut, and the fact that this is a trainee year under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a clerk job.

Qualifying marks on the live paper are 40 out of 100 for General and EWS, 35 for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD. Merit is State-wise and category-wise. A tie at the cut-off goes to the older candidate.

What the live paper actually is

You sit it from home at 11:00 am on 7 November 2026, on your own camera-enabled desktop, laptop, tablet or phone, isolated from family. The login arrives the day before from BFSI SSC. You display the Aadhaar uploaded on NATS. Except PwBD, nobody else may sit near you. Fail to register for the written test and you are out even if NATS and the fee are done.

That is 36 seconds a question if you attempt all 100. There is no printed sectional timer and no printed sectional cut-off. English and Hindi as printed.

The paper is only one gate. Document verification still includes a local language test: reading, writing, speaking and understanding one language of the State you chose. A class 10 or 12 mark sheet that shows that language exempts you. Fail the test and you are not engaged. Medical fitness is required. The Bank may publish a wait list. There is no obligation to offer a job at the end of the year. No PF, ESI or bonus.

Traps this set is built to catch

Two portals. NATS at nats.education.gov.in first. Keep the enrolment ID. Then the mail from info@bfsissc.com and the fee on beep.bfsissc.com between 14 and 29 October 2026. A NATS profile without the BFSI payment is not a complete application. Names and numbers on both portals must match.

One State. Two applications from the same person are rejected. The Bank can post you in any district of the chosen State. Prefer the State whose language you can actually speak.

Degree date. Mark sheets and the provisional or final degree must show completion on or after 1 April 2022. A March 2022 pass is out.

Bars. A previous apprenticeship, including a terminated one, bars you. One year or more of post-degree job or training bars you. Ex-servicemen are not engaged.

Fee. SC, ST and PwBD: Rs 200 plus GST. General, EWS and OBC male: Rs 800 plus GST. Female or transgender in those three: Rs 600 plus GST. Not refunded, even if you skip the test.

Home sitting. The centre is your room. A dead camera is your problem. The advertisement does not offer a branch hall as plan B.

No negative fraction. Until a handout prints one, a blank and a wrong answer are not distinguished in the PDF. This practice set follows that silence.

Not a job. You are a trainee. Stipend Rs 16,650 a month (Bank Rs 10,500, government DBT Rs 6,150, which can change). If you leave mid-year without a reason beyond your control, you can be asked to refund training cost and stipend.

Reading your score

Twelve marks. Below 8, re-read the recruitment page before you sit a timed 100. A candidate who still thinks this is a clerk absorption, or that you apply only on uco.bank.in, or that the test is in a UCO branch, is preparing the wrong week.

Nine or more means the notice is in your head. Then do 100 questions in 60 minutes, four blocks of 25, and use 40 or 35 as your floor. Do not add a penalty the advertisement does not print.

This week

1. Confirm NATS enrolment ID exists and that you have applied to the UCO Bank advertisement on that portal.
2. Check spam for info@bfsissc.com. Pay on beep.bfsissc.com before 29 October. Do not open a second NATS ID.
3. If you are OBC (NCL), the certificate must be on the Government of India format, issued on or after 1 April 2026. EWS is FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26.
4. Test the camera and the Aadhaar image you uploaded. On 6 November watch the same email for the exam link.
5. If class 10 or 12 does not show the State language, start speaking and writing it now. The language test is at document verification, after merit, when it is too late to change State.

The Bank invites applications for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Apply online through the Bank career page and beep.bfsissc.com. You can apply for one State or UT only. Register on NATS and apply for the UCO Bank programme. The online entrance examination is conducted by BFSI SSC on 07.11.2026 at 11 am. Candidates who have registered on NATS receive an email to fill extra details and pay, last date 29.10.2026. The shortlist goes on the Bank website. Corrigenda go on the Bank website. The Bank is not responsible for printing errors.

Seats are provisional. Two or more applications from the same person are rejected. The Bank can allot any district of the chosen State. Graduation mark sheets and the provisional or final degree must show completion on or after 01.04.2022. Age is on 1 October 2026: 20 to 28 for UR and EWS, with the printed relaxations. OBC must be Central list and non-creamy layer, certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026. EWS uses FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26. Ex-servicemen are not engaged. West Bengal has 86 provisional seats, Uttar Pradesh 45, Odisha 41, Rajasthan 37, Bihar 34, Maharashtra 32. A one-seat row (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim) is still a full apply path: NATS, fee, 7 November paper, language test. Do not skip the language line because the State is small.

Hours match clerical staff. No hostel, transport or residence from the Bank. If you cannot live in the district the Bank allots inside your chosen State, pick another State before 29 October. You cannot change it after submit. Queries go to info@bfsissc.com, not to a walk-in desk in Kolkata. Keep the same email and mobile until the year ends. A Bihar NATS row and a West Bengal BFSI row is the mismatch the note warns about. Last valid complete application wins if you somehow file twice. Incomplete fee payment is not a valid application. Convert CGPA with the university's own conversion certificate if you are called. Category cannot be changed after submit. Mark General if you are State-list OBC and not on the Central list. Creamy-layer OBC is General on this form. Do not mark OBC without the Central-list NCL paper issued on or after 1 April 2026.
