JSSC JTAACCE 2026 Syllabus and Exam Pattern: Classes 1-5 and 6-8 Para Teacher Posts
JTAACCE-2026 is a single-stage objective exam with no negative marking. Classes 1-5: three papers, 300 merit marks at +2 level. Classes 6-8: four papers, 380 merit marks at graduate level. Fail the 30 percent mother-tongue paper and nothing else is checked.
JTAACCE-2026 is a single-stage exam. There is no preliminary round and no interview. All questions are objective, with no negative marking. The exam can be held on OMR or as a computer-based test, with normalisation if a paper runs in several shifts. Dates and eligibility are on the recruitment page.
The rule that comes first
Paper 1 is a mother-tongue paper at matric level. It is qualifying only: its marks are not added to the merit. But the brochure says the other papers of a candidate are checked only after that candidate scores 30 percent in Paper 1. Treat it as a gate, not a formality.
Choose one of the notified languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Santhali, Bangla, Mundari, Ho, Kharia, Kurukh, Kurmali, Khortha, Nagpuri, Panchpargania, Odia or Sanskrit. Questions follow the Jharkhand Academic Council's matric syllabus for that language, so choose the one you can read and write at that level, not only speak.
Classes 1-5, intermediate trained
Three papers, three shifts. Difficulty is +2 (intermediate) level.

Social science and science and maths in Paper 3 follow the Jharkhand Academic Council syllabus for classes 1 to 12, at +2 difficulty.
Classes 6-8, graduate trained
Four papers, four shifts. Difficulty is graduate level.

Paper 4 depends on the post:
- Maths and science teacher: five sections (maths, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology). Answer any three.
- Social science teacher: seven sections (history, geography, political science, economics, sociology, accountancy, business studies). Answer any three.
- Language teacher: half English and half the language you apply in.
You must score 33 percent in Paper 4. Only then is the merit list drawn on your marks in all papers. Paper 4 carries 180 of the 380 merit marks, nearly half, so it decides the rank.
Choosing sections is a real decision. A maths and science candidate with a BSc in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry would normally pick those three and skip maths and physics.
What general knowledge covers
The brochure lists six parts:
- General studies: current events, awards, books, sports, Indian history, culture, geography, environment, economy, the freedom movement, the Constitution, panchayati raj and five-year plans, with emphasis on Jharkhand, India and neighbouring countries.
- General science: everyday science, at the level expected of an educated person who has not specialised in science.
- General maths: arithmetic, elementary algebra, geometry, trigonometry and mensuration, at matric level.
- Mental ability: analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, problem solving, number series, coding and decoding.
- Basic computer knowledge: devices, Windows, MS Office and the internet.
- Jharkhand: geography, history, culture, language and literature, places, mines and minerals, industry, Jharkhand's role in the national movement, development schemes, sports and notable people.
