JSSC JTAACCE 2026 (Para Teacher): 7,299 Assistant Teacher Posts, Registration Till 18 October

Overview

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission has reopened online registration for the Jharkhand Trained Assistant Acharya Combined Competitive Examination 2026 (Para Teacher), JTAACCE-2026. It has 6,101 regular posts under Advertisement 04/2026 and 1,198 backlog posts under Advertisement 05/2026. JSSC Notice No. 2, dated 29 September 2026, sets registration from 29 September to midnight on 18 October 2026.

This exam is only for working para teachers. Every post is reserved for Sahayak Adhyapak working under the Jharkhand Education Project Council, Ranchi, with at least two years of continuous service on the date the advertisement was published, and still working on that date. A D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. holder who is not a para teacher cannot apply, however well qualified.

The dates changed

The advertisement, dated 22 July 2026, printed an application window of 31 July to 30 August 2026. That window was not used. The dates that apply now are in Notice No. 2:

The correction window does not cover name, date of birth, email or mobile number. Enter those correctly the first time.

Regular posts, Advertisement 04/2026

Advertisement 05/2026 adds 1,198 backlog posts. One registration and one fee cover both advertisements, and a single exam decides both.

The classes 1-5 and social science posts have no EBC-I or BC-II seats at all. A para teacher from those categories competes for unreserved seats there.

Certificates to arrange before you apply

Two certificates in the brochure's formats prove your para teacher service:

• an experience certificate (Appendix XV)
• a clean-record certificate (Appendix XVI)

For classes 1-5, both are issued by the Block Education Extension Officer. For classes 6-8, by the Area Education Officer. Ask for them early. Registration closes on 18 October.

A Jharkhand local resident certificate is needed for reservation. It must be issued by the SDO on or after 2 June 2016, or by the Circle Officer on or after 19 July 2019, in the prescribed format.

Age

The age is counted on 1 August 2026. The minimum is 21. The normal maximum is 35 for UR and EWS, 37 for EBC and BC men, 38 for women of those categories, and 40 for SC and ST.

Para teachers who qualify for this exam get age relaxation equal to their contract service, and the upper limit can go as high as 58. For most applicants this makes age a non-issue. PwD get 10 more years and ex-servicemen 5.

Pay

The exam is a single stage of multiple-choice papers, on OMR or computer, with no negative marking. Paper 1, mother tongue, is qualifying: you need 30 percent in it before JSSC checks your other papers. Merit is on the other papers: 300 marks for classes 1-5 and 380 marks for classes 6-8.

To reach the merit list you need at least 40 percent for UR and EWS, 36.5 percent for BC-II, 34 percent for EBC-I, 32 percent for SC, ST and women, and 30 percent for PVTG. If scores are equal, the older candidate is placed higher.
