Selection
Annexure-D states selection through:
- Written test (OMR or mode notified by JKSSB for the item you applied to).
- Additional weightage under S.O.184 of 2020 dated 4 June 2020 (Jammu and Kashmir Class IV Special Recruitment Rules).
Document verification follows the board schedule. Domicile and category certificates are checked against JKSSB formats only.
Written test scope
Advt 09/2026 does not print a chapter-wise syllabus in the body of the PDF. Annexure-D only states that selection includes a written test and additional marks under S.O.184 of 2020.
When JKSSB issues the exam notice or admit card, it will specify:
- Medium (English, Urdu or both) for your item in Annexure-A.
- Subjects and marking for the OMR or computer mode used for that item.
Until that notice is published, use Annexure-D for weightage rules and the notification PDF for eligibility. Do not assume an RRB or SSC chapter list applies to this board.
Qualification caps (not the written syllabus but gate the form)
| Post | Maximum qualification for direct recruitment |
|---|---|
| Class IV (MTS) | Matric and 10+2 |
| Sanitation Worker | 8th pass and 10+2 |

No for direct recruitment under S.O.184 of 2020. The MTS channel is for candidates within the Matric and 10+2 ceiling; higher qualifications disqualify you from this Class IV route.
JKSSB will notify the written test pattern with the admit card or a separate notice on jkssb.nic.in. This page tracks Annexure-D selection rules until that notice is out.
Keshav founded StudentUpdate.in and edits every recruitment notice, syllabus page and practice set the site publishes. Each notice is read from the issuing body's PDF or portal before it goes live; dates, fees, vacancy tables and eligibility rules are copied from that document, not from other websites.
