DRDO PXE Apprentice Syllabus 2026
PXE Chandipur has not printed a written syllabus. The first shortlist is the percentage in the B.Tech or diploma. The test, if you are called, is at Chandipur.
Advertisement PXE/HRD/AT/01/2026-27 does not contain a syllabus, a number of questions, or a qualifying mark. The selection board first shortlists on the percentage of marks in the essential qualification. Only those names are called to Chandipur for a written test or an interview. Seats, stipend and the postal address are on the recruitment page.
The shortlist is your percentage
Calculate the percentage the way the form tells you to. If the mark sheet already prints a percentage, use that. If it prints a CGPA and also prints a formula, use the formula. If it prints a CGPA and nothing else, the form says percentage equals CGPA times 9.5. Do not invent a university formula that the mark sheet does not carry, and do not use a different multiplier because a coaching page prefers it.
The essential qualification is the B.Tech for a graduate seat and the diploma for a technician seat. Class 10 and class 12 are on the form so the board can see the record. They are not described as the ranking qualification.
A postgraduate mark sheet does not help. The advertisement says a candidate with a postgraduate degree is not considered. One year of work after the degree does not help either. It disqualifies you.
What a branch test can cover
Because no paper is printed, the honest preparation is the core of the branch you have named on the envelope. A few topics that a diploma or degree board in that branch actually teaches:

If you are called, the test is at PXE, Chandipur. There is no TA. Reach the establishment with the originals that match the typed form.
What not to revise
Do not prepare a defence-general-knowledge booklet as if this were an AFCAT or an Agniveer paper. The advertisement does not ask for it. Do not prepare a second branch "to be safe". The envelope has to name one category and one discipline. A form that tries to cover two branches is how a handwritten, incomplete application gets rejected.
The interview, if it follows the written test, is still about the same qualification. The offer after that comes only by email.
