Lasik or any other refractive surgery makes you ineligible for A-3, so Trains Clerk is closed to you. B-2 and C-2 posts remain open under the Railway Board letter in Annexure VII(A). A candidate who fails the medical may be offered one paid medical appeal, but no alternative post.

Two CBTs, no typing test this cycle

  1. CBT 1: 100 questions, 90 minutes, one-third negative marking. Screening.
  2. CBT 2: 120 questions, 90 minutes. Shortlist is 15 times community-wise vacancies.
  3. Document verification and medical at 1:1 on CBT 2 merit.

Typing skill test is dispensed with for the two clerk posts (Para 13.0(c)), as it is for the typist posts in CEN 06/2026.

Fee refund still needs Aadhaar-linked bank account

Pay Rs 500 (or Rs 250 for concession categories). Refund after CBT 1 goes only to the bank account seeded with the Aadhaar you validate in the form.

Already applied for CEN 06? You can still apply here

CEN 06/2026 (graduate) and CEN 07/2026 are separate notices. The rule that cancels multiple applications applies to more than one form "against this CEN", so one form in each CEN is allowed. You may even choose a different RRB for each. Graduates within the CEN 07 age band who wear glasses or want a second shot at a railway seat gain the most. Our CEN 06 vs CEN 07 comparison sets the two side by side.

CBT dates are not fixed in the PDF; watch your RRB website. Pattern detail is on the syllabus page. A timed MCQ set is on the practice page.

Frequently Asked Questions

CEN 07 posts need 12th with 50 percent; CEN 06 posts need a degree. They are separate notices, and the one-application rule in each is worded 'against this CEN'. A UR graduate born between 2 January 1997 and 1 January 2009 can apply to both, choosing one RRB in each. The 50 percent condition is waived for candidates with a qualification higher than 12th.

Yes. 12th is the minimum, and a degree is a higher qualification, which also removes the 50 percent aggregate condition. You still need to be born between 2 January 1997 and 1 January 2009 (UR), with later cut-off dates for reserved categories.

Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk 700, Accounts Clerk cum Typist 200, Junior Clerk cum Typist 600, Trains Clerk 188. Total 1,688 tentative.

No. Para 13.0(c) dispenses with CBTST for Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist in this CEN.

13 November 2026, 11:59 pm. Fee payment until 15 November 2026.
