As of 4 November 2026, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is accepting online applications for 5,431 Group-C posts, including First Division Assistant and Second Division Assistant. The window runs from 30 October to 25 November 2026, and the fee can be paid until 26 November 2026. Degree-level posts total 2,726 and PUC-level posts total 2,705.

How many KEA Group-C posts are there?

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced direct recruitment for 5,431 Group-C posts in various Karnataka government departments. These include First Division Assistant (FDA), Second Division Assistant (SDA) and equivalent posts. The notification is dated 29 October 2026.

Online applications opened on 30 October 2026. The last date to apply is 25 November 2026, and the last date to pay the fee is 26 November 2026.

What is the vacancy split by cadre?

• PUC-level posts: second PUC (Class 12) or an equivalent qualification. Examples include Second Division Assistant and similar posts.

What is the pay scale?

The notification shows the scale next to each post. Most PUC-level posts such as Second Division Assistant carry Rs 34,100 to 67,600. Most degree-level posts such as First Division Assistant carry Rs 44,425 to 83,700. Some posts, such as Assistant, have other scales.

What is the selection process?

KEA will hold a competitive written examination for the posts. The exam date and pattern are not yet announced. Watch the KEA site for it.

How do I apply?

1. Open the KEA recruitment page at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and choose Group-C FDA and SDA for your cadre, RPC or KK.
2. Read the notification for your post.
3. Click Apply Now, register and log in.
4. Fill in the form and upload photo, signature, qualification proof and the reservation certificate in the prescribed format, if you claim reservation.
5. Submit by 25 November 2026.
6. Pay the fee by 26 November 2026 and save the receipt.

What should I do now?

1. Find your department and post in the vacancy list, and check whether it is in the RPC list or the KK list.
2. Check that your qualification matches the post level.
3. Collect your reservation certificate, if any.
4. Apply well before 25 November, since the portal can be slow near the deadline.

Common mistakes

• Wrong cadre. KK and RPC have separate pages and separate vacancies.
• Wrong level. Degree-level and PUC-level posts have different requirements.
• Missing the fee date. The fee deadline is 26 November, but the form must be submitted by 25 November.
