Senior PAT (codes such as 17001, 17003, 17023): age 40, Rs 42,000 plus HRA, M.Sc. plus three years R&D or Ph.D. plus two years. PAT-I: age 35, Rs 25,000 plus HRA, or Rs 31,000 plus HRA if you hold NET (including lectureship) or GATE or the national-exam line printed as (a). PAT-II 17014: Rs 28,000 plus HRA and two years. Project Assistant-I (17013, 17029): 10th plus ITI/SSC, Rs 18,000 plus HRA.
Result-awaited candidates are not eligible. Age cut-off is that interview date.
Walk-in kit
Carry the prescribed form with a colour passport photo, self-attested copies and originals. Separate form for each code. No TA. No online interview. The committee may use a same-day objective test then interview. Number selected can differ from the table.
Engagement is for the sponsoring agency, temporary, ends with the project or six years, whichever is earlier. No regular CSIR post. Review every six months.

- Position-code wise: M.Sc. Biotechnology, Botany, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Science, Zoology or Entomology, M.Pharm, B.Tech Agricultural/Chemical Engineering, or 10th plus ITI/SSC for Project Assistant-I, as printed against 17001 to 17030.
- Result-awaited candidates are not eligible.
- Where the stipend table has (a) and (b), Rs 31,000 plus HRA needs CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET including lectureship, GATE, or a national-level exam of DBT/DST or equivalent. Others on that code get Rs 25,000 plus HRA.
