If the crowd is large, a committee may shortlist by marks in the essential degree, by a higher qualification, by the desirable experience, or by any other method it adopts. North-East fermented soy, not a generic food walk-in

The project is GAP000684: Production of soybean based functional foods using microbial resources isolated from traditionally fermented foods of North East India. Initial engagement is until March 2027, extendable until October 2027 or the project end, whichever is earlier, and only while funds last. That is the detail generic "CFTRI project assistant" pages skip.

Six-year CSIR bar: OM 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024 says total project-staff time in one project or several, in one lab or several CSIR labs, cannot exceed six years. If you have already used that tenure, you are not eligible.

Ongoing Ph.D. or other higher study under AcSIR or a university that has an MoU with CSIR needs Annexure-II NOC from the supervisor and the registrar. Without it, do not expect to be processed.

If selected you cannot walk away without Director's prior approval. Early exit needs one month's notice with a reason, or one month's stipend in lieu. Engagement does not give a right to register for a higher degree or to a permanent CSIR-CFTRI post. Canvassing is a disqualification. Updates appear only on the CFTRI website.

Reporting windows, the NET line and the six-year bar are on the syllabus page. Practice is on the practice page.
