TC-03 and TC-04 are anticipated vacancies expected on superannuation within one year. Read clause 2(29) in the PDF before you treat those two as current seats.
Technical Officer codes need at least 55 percent in M.Sc. Chemistry/Materials, MCA, B.E./B.Tech Metallurgy/Mechanical, or Instrumentation/Electronics, matching the code. Technician codes need 10th with science at 55 percent plus the ITI or experience route printed for that trade.
Trade test, then three papers for Technical Officer
Screening invites you to a qualifying trade test. Marks in that test do not join merit. Then 200 objective questions in 3 hours, OMR or computer, bilingual except English language:
- Paper-I, 1 hour: 50 mental-ability questions, +2, no negative marking. Threshold set by the Selection Committee. Fail it and Paper-II and III are not marked.
- Paper-II, 30 minutes: 25 General Awareness + 25 English, +3 / −1.
- Paper-III, 90 minutes: 100 concerned-subject questions, +3 / −1, 300 marks.
Merit is Paper-II plus Paper-III. Tie-break starts with higher Paper-III, then fewer negatives on Paper-III, then fewer negatives on II+III, then older candidate. Do not copy this three-paper set onto Technician, Security or MTS. Security posts use a physical test first. Technician (1) follows the trade-test route printed for that cadre.
PwBD candidates pay no fee and the TO, Technician and MTS posts are identified as suitable. Security Officer and Security Assistant are not. Departmental five-year age relaxation applies to TO and Technician only, not to MTS or security.

Educational Qualification
- Technical Officer (7 posts, UR-6, SC-1, Level 7): M.Sc. or MCA or B.E./B.Tech with at least 55 percent (or equivalent CGPA) in the subject of the post code, as printed for TO-01 to TO-05.
- Technician (1) (4 posts, UR-3, ST-1, Level 2): SSC/10th with science subjects and at least 55 percent plus ITI/NAC in the named trade, or the experience routes printed for that code. TC-03 and TC-04 are anticipated vacancies on superannuation within one year.
- Security Officer (1 UR, Level 7): at least 10 years in security as a JCO (Subedar or above) or equivalent in para-military forces, with the pay and rank lines printed for CRPF/BSF/ITBP.
- Security Assistant (1 UR, Level 6): ex-serviceman JCO or equivalent with five years of security work, plus basic computer skill as printed.
- MTS (1 UR, Level 1): as printed in the advertisement for that isolated post.

- 1Open https://ampri.res.in/en/?page_id=12066. Register, pay if applicable, then submit one online form per post code. Multiple codes need separate forms and separate fees.
- 2Upload photograph and signature (each at most 1 MB), certificates, and the CGPA-to-percentage formula if your university uses grades.
- 3Regular staff of CSIR, government, autonomous bodies, universities or PSUs must upload NOC with the form.
