A 60-post subject is split roughly UR 25, SC 7, ST 19 and OBC 9 (E cadre English is 25, 7, 20, 8). A 50-post subject is UR 21, SC 6, ST 16 and OBC 7. Three rules that decide who can apply
One subject only. You can apply in only one of the eight subjects. An application in more than one subject is rejected.
Chhattisgarh domicile. The detailed advertisement says the candidate must have a Chhattisgarh local resident certificate. Arrange it before the closing date if you do not have it.
Second division PG plus B.Ed. The postgraduate degree must be in second division and in a subject accepted for the post. The advertisement accepts some related degrees: Public Administration for Political Science, Ancient Indian History for History, Electronics, Applied or Nuclear Physics for Physics, Classics or Acharya for Sanskrit, and Applied or Business Economics for Economics.
Exam and selection
The exam is a single objective paper: 100 questions, 1 mark each, 2 hours, with four options per question. A wrong answer, or more than one circle, costs one fourth of a mark. A blank costs nothing. The printed exam time is 10:00 am to 12:15 pm. Centres are at the five divisional headquarters.
Every subject paper is 100 marks in three parts: 60 marks of the subject, 15 marks of educational psychology, assessment and pedagogy, and 25 marks of language and general studies. The unit-wise marks for each subject are on the syllabus page.
The selection list is prepared on the written result. It is valid for six months. A waitlist of up to 25 percent of the posts in each category is valid for nine months. Objections to the model answer key cost Rs 50 per question, online, with proof. A guide book is not accepted as proof.
Service conditions
Appointments follow the Chhattisgarh School Education Service (Educational and Administrative Cadre) Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2026. Probation is three years, and can be extended by one year. Selected candidates go through a medical examination and police verification.

- A postgraduate degree in second division in the subject, and a B.Ed., from a recognised university.
- Accepted postgraduate subjects: Hindi; English; Sanskrit, Classics or Acharya; Physics, Electronics, Applied Physics or Nuclear Physics; Political Science or Public Administration; History or Ancient Indian History; Geography; Economics, Applied Economics or Business Economics.
- All qualifications are subject to NCTE notifications and court decisions.

- 1Create or update your profile on cgssb.cgstate.gov.in (vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in). Keep a light-background photo and a signature as JPG files with alphanumeric file names and no spaces or dots in the name.
- 2Open the LSL26 online application page and choose one subject. An application in more than one subject is rejected.
- 3Pay the fee online, press SUBMIT, and print the application. Pay from an account you control, because the refund goes back to the same account.
- 4Check everything in the correction window, 27 to 29 October 2026. CGSSB does not correct anything after that, and the result uses only what is in the form.
- 5Download the admit card from 23 November and appear on 29 November 2026 at one of the five divisional headquarters.
