BPSC TRE 4.0 Teacher Recruitment 2026

Overview

Bihar Public Service Commission has opened Teacher Recruitment Examination 4.0 under advertisement 15/2026. The Education Department has 32,388 school teacher posts, from class 1 to class 12. The online form and the fee both start on 25 September 2026.

This advertisement cancels advertisement 14/2026, which was published on 18 August 2026. Use 15/2026 only.

Posts and pay

The posts are non-gazetted. Pay is the starting basic pay, plus allowances fixed by the Bihar government.

The advertisement says the vacancy count can go up or down after a revised requisition from the department. A few language subjects for classes 9 to 12 will be notified after the department sends the requisition. The written exam can be held in more than one shift.

The examination date is not in this advertisement.

Fee

Every candidate pays Rs 100, plus the charge fixed by the bank. If you do not enter an Aadhaar number as the identity on the form, you also pay Rs 200 as a biometric fee. The fee is not refunded.

Who can apply

You must be a citizen of India. The degree, the teacher-training course and the TET paper change with the class.

Primary and middle posts ask for the CTET certificate on the form. Secondary and higher secondary posts ask for the STET result card number and the Bihar School Examination Board unique ID. A training qualification counts only if the National Council for Teacher Education recognises it, unless the advertisement itself names an exception. For classes 11 and 12, check the subject row in the PDF: most rows ask for a postgraduate degree in that subject, with the percentage printed there, plus B.Ed or the training route named for the subject.

Every certificate you rely on, including the TET or STET result, must have been issued by 26 October 2026.

Age

Age is counted as on 1 August 2026.

For classes 1 to 8 the minimum age is 18. For classes 9 to 12 it is 21. The upper age is 37 for general men, 40 for backward class and extremely backward class men and for general women, and 42 for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates, men and women. Working contract teachers have an upper age of 60. Other relaxations, including for persons with disability and for certain government teachers, are printed in clause 3 of the advertisement.

How to apply

1. Open bpsc.bihar.gov.in and read advertisement 15/2026 and the application instructions.
2. Complete One Time Registration at bpsconline.bihar.gov.in. One candidate, one OTR. Check the spelling of your name, your parents' names, gender, address and date of birth.
3. Apply for advertisement 15/2026. Put the STET result card number and the BSEB unique ID where the form asks for them, if you are applying for a secondary post. Put the CTET certificate details for a primary or middle post.
4. Pay Rs 100 before you submit. Add Rs 200 if you are not using an Aadhaar number as identity.
5. Do not post a printout to the Commission office.

A form with a false certificate, or a certificate that does not match the claim, is rejected. The Commission does not correct entries after submission, and it does not refund the fee.

Selection

Selection is by an objective written examination. There is no interview. The Commission holds the exam and publishes the result. The district is allotted by the Education Department or the education authority, not by the Commission.
