CRPF Sports Quota 2026 has no written paper. There is nothing to study in the usual sense: what decides your rank is a marks table for medals. Posts, age and fee are on the recruitment page.

The stages in order

  1. Identity check and document verification. Your sports certificates are checked against the formats for your level.
  2. Physical Standard Test. Height 170 cm for men and 157 cm for women, men's chest 80 cm with 5 cm expansion, with regional and ST relaxations. Appeals are heard the same day.
  3. Sports Trial Test by a Board of Officers in your discipline. Pass or fail, no marks. You may be dope-tested, and the trial is videographed.
  4. Merit list, discipline and event-wise, on certificate marks alone.
  5. Detailed Medical Examination, with a Review Medical if you are declared unfit.

How your score is counted

  • Only achievements between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026 count.
  • You get marks for one highest medal in that window. A second medal at another event adds nothing.
  • At one competition, only your best medal or position counts.
  • A senior national individual bronze (22) beats a junior national individual gold (20).
  • A senior national team gold (26) equals a senior national individual silver (26), so the tie rules decide.

Every domestic result sits between 4 and 30 marks, so one step up the table, such as a senior national medal instead of a junior one, is the only way to move up the merit list.

Ties and preference

When marks are equal, the higher achievement in national competition breaks a tie between candidates with similar international results. If a tie still remains, the older candidate gets priority, and after that alphabetical order of name in English.

Preference also runs in this order: international representation with Sports Ministry clearance first, then a State or UT medal at the senior or junior nationals or the National Games (senior ahead of junior), then inter-university or Khelo India University Games results.

Outstanding sportspersons who fall short on height, chest or weight can be recommended by the Board for relaxation, but only with Ministry of Home Affairs approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The trial is pass or fail. If you fail it, you are out. If you pass, your merit is still only your certificate marks.

No. Only the highest medal or position from that competition counts, and marks from separate competitions are not added together.
