APPSC Forest Beat Officer 2026 Practice: Intermediate, 200 Marks, 1:2 Walk

How this set is built

The live written scheme is a qualifying essay (50 marks, 45 minutes, English or Telugu or Urdu, forests and environment) plus two objective papers of 100. The printed TOTAL 200 is Paper I plus Paper II. Negative marking on the objective papers is one-third, G.O.Ms. No.235, 6 December 2016. Scheme: G.O.Ms.No.3, G.A. (Ser-A), 4 January 2019. Para 6: no screening test.

This set is notice rules, not a fake class 10 science booklet. It tests Intermediate, the 200-mark total, the qualifying essay, the 1:2 walking-test call, and the fact that this page will not copy a 2025 kilometre figure onto 2026.

On 23 posts, a 1:2 call is about 46 names for the walk and the Medical Board. Fail either and the 200 written marks do not save you.

What the live papers actually are

Essay. One question, 45 minutes, 50 marks. Theme related to forests and environment. Pick the language you can write continuously in. Name an Andhra Pradesh forest or sanctuary. A Delhi-centric page that never mentions the Eastern Ghats is the wrong page.

Paper I, Intermediate standard: everyday science and technology, current events of India and Andhra Pradesh, Indian history with AP and the national movement, AP geography, polity and economy including rural development, mental ability, sustainable development, and disaster management (earthquake, cyclone, tsunami, flood, drought, and man-made events).

Paper II, SSC standard, 50 marks science and 50 marks mathematics. Science runs from renewable energy and nuclear safety through life processes, metals and carbon compounds, pollution, a long ethnobotany list with botanical names, and a short space block. Mathematics: number system, unitary method, HCF and LCM, logs, algebra including quadratics and sets, trigonometry to heights and distances, geometry, mensuration, and elementary statistics.

Tulsi on this paper is Ocimum sanctum. Neem is Azadirachta indica. Arjuna is Terminalia arjuna. Sandal is Santalum album. Learn the printed names.

Walking test and medical are run by the Forest Department, with APPSC concurrence, for candidates called at 1:2 under Rules 22 and 22A. Distances and height are in the 16 October detailed PDF. This set will not invent 25 km.

CPT is annexed: 60 minutes, 100 marks, qualifying 40 / 35 / 30. Confirm in the detailed notice whether it is required at offer.

Traps this set is built to catch

Intermediate, not a degree. Held on 16 October 2026. A graduate may apply. A degree does not replace the walk.

Essay is a gate. The table's TOTAL 200 is Paper I plus Paper II. Treat the 50-mark essay as qualifying. A brilliant 200 with a failed essay is not the selection the annexure describes.

Do not copy last year's walk. The 2026 brief says: see the online detailed notification for physical requirements. Height and kilometres are there, not here.

Not Range Officer or Section Officer. Notifications 16/2026 and 17/2026 are other posts. Do not pay 18 and prepare 16.

Not Endowments EO. 23/2026 is a bachelor's degree and Paper II on the Act. This post is Intermediate and a beat.

Not Group-I. 07/2026 is 166 posts and an OMR screening on 24 January 2027. This post has no screening.

Reading your score

Twelve marks, one-third off a wrong answer. Below 8, re-read the recruitment page. A candidate who still adds the essay into a 250-mark merit, or who quotes 25 km from 2025, or who thinks a degree is required, is preparing the wrong week.

Nine or more means the notice is in your head. Then start Paper II maths this week if you are rusty, make ethnobotany flashcards from the printed list, write one forest page a week, and walk on the 16 October standard three times a week. The 1:2 list is short.

1. Download the 16 October detailed PDF. Copy height and walk distance into your notes. Measure with a stadiometer, not a door-frame guess.
2. If OTPR still says you are a graduate and you applied on Intermediate, that is fine: Intermediate is the essential row.
3. Write one handwritten page on fire season or a named Andhra Pradesh sanctuary, in the language you will use on the day.
4. Make flashcards of the printed botanical names. Start mensuration if you have not sat it since school.
5. Submit before 11:59 pm on 5 November 2026. Fee, age and zone: detailed PDF only. Do not pay from a blog table.

The examination is a single-level CBRT. No screening test. Scheme: qualifying essay, 50 marks, 45 minutes, English or Telugu or Urdu, theme related to forests and environment. Candidates must undergo a walking test and a Medical Board examination, arranged by the Forest Department with APPSC concurrence. The commission picks names at 1:2 of vacancies under Rules 22 and 22A. On 23 posts that is about 46 people.

Learn the botanical names as printed: Ocimum sanctum, Azadirachta indica, Terminalia arjuna, Santalum album, and the rest of the seasonal and perennial tables on the syllabus page. Mathematics is SSC: unitary method, HCF LCM, quadratics, trigonometry, mensuration, mean median mode.

Apply only online. OTPR is not an application. This is not Forest Range Officer (16), not Forest Section Officer (17), not Endowments EO (23), not Group-I (07).

If you last sat class 10 maths in 2018, the 50-mark mathematics half is the leak. Mensuration of cuboid, cone, cylinder and sphere, and heights and distances, are in the annexure. A blank is safer than a one-third penalty on a guess you do not own. The essay still has to be written. Practise one handwritten page a week. Forty-five minutes is not enough to invent a forest you have never named. Pick English or Telugu or Urdu now and stay with it. Switching language on the day wastes the first ten minutes. The Medical Board is not a formality. A printed height miss ends the 1:2 call the same way a failed walk does. Shoes and a measured route this month beat a panic walk after the written result. Start now.
