The list includes 1,582 Constable posts, 280 Riflemen, 136 Sub-Inspectors and 250 Followers. The notification is dated 2 November 2026. What is this recruitment?
The notification covers almost every non-gazetted rank in Manipur Police: civil police, the Manipur Rifles and India Reserve Battalions, telecom, motor transport, medical support and followers. The total of 2,698 is provisional, and the state government can raise or cut it.
The count does not include two horizontal quotas: 20 percent for Ex-Agniveers and 5 percent for meritorious sportspersons. Manipur Police has a separate notice for Ex-Agniveers (Constable and Riflemen) for 2026-27 on its website.

What the numbers tell you
- Constable-level posts make up 69 percent of the drive (1,862 of 2,698, counting Riflemen). Most applicants will be Class 10 and Class 12 pass candidates.
- Women's posts are limited to 200 Constable, 24 ASI and 12 Nurse posts, unless the notification opens other posts to both genders.

The notification does not give a separate last date for individual applications. Treat 20 December 2026 as the practical deadline, since that is when the Employment Exchange lists must reach PHQ, and submit well before it.
Who is eligible?
The post-wise qualification is set by the Manipur Police recruitment rules. As a general guide:
- Constable and Riflemen: Class 10 or Class 12 pass, plus the physical standards
- Constable Driver: valid driving licence for the vehicle class required
- Fitter and Electrician trades: matching ITI certificate
- ASI and SI: a degree from a recognised university
- LDC: Class 12 or graduation, with typing
- Nurses: nursing qualification and registration

Age limit and the one-time relaxation
Candidates who were sponsored by the Employment Exchange under the earlier notifications of 14 July 2021, 17 October 2022 and 13 March 2024 get a one-time upper age relaxation. Their earlier applications remain valid, so they do not need to apply again. This helps the many candidates who aged out while those earlier drives were pending.

Rs 400 per form. PwD candidates are exempt. Pay only at the SP office or as it directs, and keep the receipt.
What is the selection process?
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): running and other events. The standards will be in the call letter.
- Written test: for those who qualify the PET.
- Document verification and medical examination.
For SI posts, expect a written paper on general knowledge with Manipur GK, reasoning, numerical ability, English, current affairs and basic law (the new criminal laws, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and related acts).

How do I apply?
- Go to your district SP office during office hours and collect the form.
- Fill it clearly in your own hand. Write your post choice carefully.
- Attach self-attested copies of your Class 10 certificate (for date of birth), educational certificates, permanent resident certificate, category certificate and recent photos.
- Pay the Rs 400 fee as directed.
- Submit the form and keep the acknowledgement slip safe. You will need it for the PET call.
If you were sponsored in 2021, 2022 or 2024, check with the SP office that your earlier application is on record.
How to prepare
Start running now. The PET comes first, and many candidates fail it. Build up to 5 km at an easy pace, then add timed 1.6 km runs three times a week.
Revise Class 10 basics. For Constable posts, the written test is usually at matriculation level: arithmetic, reasoning, general English and general knowledge.

Educational Qualification
